What is this site ?
I wrote Learnivore.com to ensure that the programming screencasts I find useful would get a wider reach. Here you can either receive the latest screencasts via RSS or Twitter - or search for screencasts.
Suggestions ?
I always welcome suggestions (content and/or features) either via uservoice or via email.
Credits
I want to thank the publishers that allowed me to aggregate their screencasts here (by alphabetical order):
- Alex Peuchert (RubyPulse)
- Dave Thomas (Pragmatic Programmers), who was kind enough to develop an XML export
- Geoffrey Grosenbach (PeepCode)
- Gregg Pollack (for EnvyCasts and the Scaling Rails Series)
- Matt Mickiewicz (SitePoint)
- Ryan Bates (RailsCasts)
If you believe another site with many screencasts would fit here, please drop a line and I'll see what I can do.
I've used a whole lot of open-source (including home-made) to create this site. I can't cite every bit here, but special thanks go to:
- Pat Allan (et al) for the wonderful ThinkingSphinx library (and all the crowd behind Sphinx as well)
- The Ramaze team (and folks at #ramaze)
I want to thank John Mettraux, Mike Gunderloy, all the voters on UserVoice and many more for their feedback, and my sister for the old-school logo.
Finally, thanks to Brian Dunagan for the twitter/rss/linkedin icons used here.
